Treichler, located at milepost 104.2, was once listed in the railroad's timetable as "Cherry Ford," and you can just make out "CF" on the end of the tower's nameplate. The mechanical interlocking was installed in 1927 to control train movements between the four-track section east of Treichler and the two-track section to the west.
