Summer 2019: Award Winners, Bodine, Cunningham

Summer 2019 is the third consecutive issue to which we’ve added twelve pages to our usual forty-eight. They feature the winners of the 2019 John E. Gruber Creative Photographer Awards, which received the second-highest number of submissions in its history. Additional content spotlights a conference presenter–Jennifer Bodine writes about pictorialist photographer A. Aubrey Bodine; an art photographer–Caren Cunningham’s work is explored; and a community archive–Archives Manager Adrienne Evans and Archives Assistant Natalie Krecek discuss new archives visited and lessons learned at the 2019 Midwest Archives Conference in Detroit. In addition, Events and Exhibits Coordinator Hailey Paige recaps Conversations Transcontinental and After Promontory and Mike Matejka presents the journalist and railroad photography of the Daily Pantagraph of Bloomington, Illinois.
